Carl Black (Mike Epps) unexpectedly comes into a large sum of money from the Black family, prompting him, his new wife Lorena (Zulay Henao), his son Carl Jr., his daughter Allie Black (Bresha Webb), and his cousin Cronut (Lil Duval) to leave Chicago and move to Beverly Hills in hopes of a better life. Unfortunately, they couldn't have picked a worse time to relocate, as they arrive just as the annual Purge begins, where all crime is legal for 12 hours. In the midst of chaos and danger, the Black family must navigate their way through this terrifying night and find a way to survive.
